Saison 2025/26 "Community"
What will distinguish the pianist of the future? This question formed the basis for the founding of the "Young Piano Series" and has guided us ever since in the development and direction of this new Bern concert series.
The third season of the Young Piano Series is dedicated to the theme of community. The goal is to strengthen the sense of community within the series and actively engage the audience. With participatory formats, we create new opportunities for exchange and participation – from the selection of soloists to direct encounters with them.
Our three concerts in the 2025/2026 season are:
Sa, 24 January 2026
Leonardo De Nigris & Leonardo Merlini
Winners of the Open Call 2025

Paul Lecocq, the young French pianist and winner of the International Concours Clara Haskil 2025, makes his first appearance in Bern. As a laureate of one of Europe’s most demanding competitions, he impressed both jury and audience with his stylistic clarity, poetic sound world, and exceptional stage presence. For his debut at the Zentrum Paul Klee, he has chosen a colourful yet highly intimate programme, which will be further illuminated through the artist’s personal insights in the post-concert discussion.
